We performed an inspection of the dryer and the dryer vent, and found that the main issue needing to be addressed was a heavy accumulation of lint and debris in the vent exhaust area. This was causing the airflow to be restricted, causing the dryer to overheat and not dry the clothes properly. We removed the lint, debris, and fabric strings which were all fire hazards, and unblocked the vent leaving it clean and allowing proper airflow.
